In Chinese culture, the octagonal shape represents balance, harmony, and flowing prosperity, and it is this symbolism that anchors the entire design. At its centre, a galloping horse rendered in bold graphic strokes captures the energy and optimism of the new year, framed by bursting fireworks and auspicious clouds picked out in gold foil against a rich red. The gift box design blended The Peninsula's signature sense of occasion with a confident, contemporary edge.
