We developed a brand that radiates 'challenger' energy and authenticity, distinguishing itself in a crowded market while retaining a sophisticated appeal.
By positioning the brand as a refreshing disruptor in a saturated market, we attracted a premium, discerning audience interested in understanding the behind-the-scenes process of the products they consume.
A brand voice that is bold, energetic, and passionate, mirroring the founder's athletic drive for success.
Manuka Royale's core essence and competitive advantage emerged through strategic workshops. To align the brand with business objectives, we approached it comprehensively from all angles. We began by uncovering their 'why' and 'how'. Our competitive analysis delved into the customer pain points of similar products and set brand experience goals that we aimed to surpass.
A visual design system was created to enable impactful communication across print, web, and social media platforms. All illustrations, hand-painted by the founder, feature local birds and wildlife from New Zealand.
The colour scheme, rooted in the brand strategy, enhances differentiation, aids on-shelf recall, and is integral to the design, providing a contemporary and warm aesthetic.
The logo, an adaptation of the founder's signature, visually encapsulates the brand's purpose.
Symbolising the personal dedication infused into each jar of Manuka Royale, representing the products as 'the signature' natural expression of Manuka Honey at its finest and most potent.

A photographic style was developed to enhance customer connections.
It conveys simple usage ideas through home-cooked 'heart-crafted' meals and skincare rituals, aiming to shift the perception of Manuka Royale from an expensive delicacy to a daily wellness product for the entire family.
Expanding
the range
Recognising that many customers purchase the products as gifts, we assisted the brand in expanding into Manuka Royale-infused teas, oils, and candles.
A collection of gift boxes was designed, inspired by the seasons of New Zealand.
